Introduction of Dr. B K Mohanti

Dr. Bidhu K. Mohanti is a well known Radiation Oncologist in India. He has been using his expertise in the field since three decades during which he has served many hospitals across the country,with longest part of career at AIIMS, Delhi in patient care, academic and research areas. His special interest lies in treatment of Hematologic malignancies, Gastrointestinal and hepato-biliary cancer, head and neck, lung and pediatric cancers through radiation therapies. Presently working with Manipal Hospitals, which is a pioneer healthcare delivery in India, Dr. Mohanti has also helped patients with treatment of brain cancers. He is one of the best radiation oncologist and who not only treats his patients but also has special interest in Cancer survivorship.

Dr. B K Mohanti has not only helped set up cancer facilities in Indian hospitals but also worked with Royal Hospital in Muscat to start the first Radiotherapy division at the National Oncology Centre of Oman. His special interest also lies in Palliative Care and has a Fellowship in MacMillan-WHO Palliative Care Course from Oxford.

For his incredible knowledge in the field of Oncology, Dr. B K Mohanti has been invited to several international conferences to share and present his research. During his career as an Oncology Faculty, he has trained many specialist Oncologists who now practice at different parts of the world. He has over 150 publications in medical journals which also include 18 international abstracts.
