Dr. Santanu Sen is a Pediatric Oncologist in India with expertise in treating children suffering from blood, brain and bone cancer and other blood disorders. With a clinical experience of 16 years in the field of Pediatric Oncology, Dr. Santanu has treated a large number of children suffering from benign and malignant tumors. His special interest lies in the treatment of all types of blood diseases and also bone marrow and stem cell transplantation.

Having trained in Pediatric Oncology in the best hospitals in the United Kingdom, Dr. Santanu Sen has treated patients with complex cases and successful results. He is presently working at Kokilaben Hospital where he is in charge of the Pediatric Stem Cell  transplantation Program. The program holds credit of transplantation for Neuroblastoma in the youngest infant of the world at 4 months as well as the youngest Thalassemia transplant in India at the age of 9 months.

Dr. Santanu Sen is counted among the few Pediatric Oncologists of India who has brought in the latest technology and advanced therapies in India to treat cancer patients. He is not just an expert in treating blood-related disorders but the brain and bone-related tumors as well. His expertise lies in Allogenic, Autologous and Haploidentical Transplants for Thallasemia, Sickle cell disease, relapsed Leukemia and Lymphoma, Aplastic Anaemia, relapsed and resistant Ewings tumor and Neuroblastoma, Osteosarcoma, Rhabdomyosarcoma with other soft tissue sarcomas, Haemophilia and Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura. He also finds interest in Haemophagocytic Lympho Histiocytosis and has a large experience in Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis.

From the time Dr. Santanu Sen joined Kokilaben Hospital, he has to his credit 45 acute lymphocytic leukaemia, 14 acute myeloid leukaemia, 35 brain tumor, 15 Wilms Tumor, 28 Hodgkin’s lymphoma, 25 Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, 20 Neuroblastoma, 14 Osteosarcoma and 18 Ewings sarcoma cases. For his immense experience and devotion towards his job, Dr. Santanu has also been invited to various national and international medical institutes to share his work. He cares for his patients and actively participates in cancer awareness campaigns and workshops all over the world.
