Dr. Ramen Gyanendra Goel is a highly experienced Bariatric surgeon with expertise in advanced laparoscopic surgery and procedures of Bariatric surgery that includes gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, banded gastric bypass, Ileal transportation and Single port surgeries. He is known to have performed the first banded gastric bypass and the first gastric band surgery in India. Dr. Ramen Goel has received training in various bariatric procedures and is among the top bariatric surgeons in Maharashtra, India. With an experience of more than 28 years in the field of Bariatric and metabolic surgery, Dr. Goel has performed a great number of Bariatric surgeries that include both adult and adolescent patients. He is an adept at performing bariatric balloon, SGIT and VBG surgeries as well. He is also the first Bariatric surgeon in India to be certified the Surgeon of Excellence by Surgical Review Corporation, USA. Dr. Ramen Gyanendra Goel is also an expert surgeon for diabetes management as well and performs bariatric surgeries on patients with Type 2 diabetes. He is highly motivated towards reducing the obese population in India and has also started the Centre for Metabolic Surgery in Mumbai which is a centre for weight-loss related procedures.
