Introduction of Dr. Randhir Sud

Dr. Randhir Sud is a pioneer in the treatment of Gastro-intestinal diseases in India. He is credited with establishing the therapeutic Gastrointestinal Endoscopy in the country. He is an expert in treating patients with Gastrointestinal issues and finds interest in GI endoscopy, GI cancer and Hepatic diseases. For his contribution in the field of GI medicine, he was awarded the prestigious Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2008. He is popularly known as the Master in Endoscopy, a title given to him by the Indian Society of Gastroenterology. He is closely associated with conducting original research for developing new endoscopic devices and techniques. Apart from being an expert in treating gastrointestinal diseases, Dr. Randhir Sud also has the experience of teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in All India Institute of Medical Sciences. He has been a visiting professor Harvard Medical School, Boston, University of Alabama, Birmingham and University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston. Along with being an expert doctor, he was also a brilliant student in his academic years and won several medals for his performance.
