Dr. (Prof) Raju Vaishya is a renowned Orthopedic and Joint replacement surgeon in Delhi with specialization in Total Joint replacement and arthroscopic joint surgeries. He has  years of experience in performing primary and revision surgeries for replacement of joints in the shoulder, knee, hip and ankle. With a special interest in Arthroscopic procedures of the knee, hip, shoulder and ankles, he is one of the first orthopedic surgeons to introduce arthroscopic shoulder surgery in India. Dr. (Prof) Raju Vaishya has an experience of over three decades in the field of Orthopedics and Joint replacement. Along with performing general procedures of hip and knee disorders, his other areas of expertise include hybrid, surface, revision, bipolar, cemented and uncemented hip replacement surgeries; unicondylar, total condylar, fixed bearing, mobile bearing and revision knee replacement surgeries. He performs all kinds of arthroscopic surgeries for the knee, elbow, hip and ankles that include ligament reconstruction, meniscal excision, arthrolysis, patellar reassignment, irritable hips, mega prosthesis and sports injuries. Equally interested in research activities, Dr. Raju Vaishya has been involved in finding various techniques for cartilage regeneration and restoration such as Autologus Chondrocyte Implantation and has also stabled a unit for the same at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital where he is currently working. He also started the personalized knee surgery plan in India which involves using patient specific instruments for performing arthroplasty. Dr. Raju Vaishya is also involved in teaching and training activities and has trained over 70 orthopedic surgeons from Iraq, Africa, Bangladesh, India and Nepal under the Stryker Joint Replacement Fellowship course at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital and over 200 others have also learnt under his guidance. He regularly attends conferences and seminars held for joint replacement surgeries and arthroscopic procedures. He has chaired several sessions as well as organized workshops and delivered lectures based on his area of expertise. He has more than 175 publications to his name in prestigious peer reviewed medical journals along with several chapters in medical text books.
